
An MLC says he’ll keep fighting for compensation for ex-servicemen who were exposed to radiation during nuclear tests 50 years ago.
Eddie Lowey says at least seven people living in the Island took part in the tests during National Service, and they should be given up to £10,000 each for the health problems they’ve suffered since.
In Tynwald last week, he was told it was a matter for the UK, not the Island’s War Pension Committee.
But Mr Lowey (pictured) says he won’t give up because he believes the men were, in effect, experimented on (audio file attached):
