Sub-lease to Ramsey Courthouse Ltd
Ramsey Commissioners have asked the government for permission to take over the lease of the town’s courthouse.
It’s as plans from Ramsey Courthouse Ltd to save the town’s Crown Post Office start taking shape.
The commissioners say they’ve asked the Department of Infrastructure to lease the building from September until 2032.
But they say they’ll sub-lease the building to Ramsey Courthouse Ltd, the company spearheaded by the local authority’s chairman Captain Nigel Malpass.
In a public notice, the commissioners say Ramsey Courthouse Ltd would take over the sub-lease under the same terms the local authority faces.
The Department of Infrastructure will now consider the petition, and anybody with any comments to make on the arrangements can do so in writing to the department.
For more details on the petition you can visit Ramsey town hall or visit ramsey.gov.im
If you’d like to submit your views you have until Tuesday, July 21 to do so.
