The Department of Health and Social Security has announced that Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital’s Minor Injuries Unit will return to full operational hours of 8.00am to 10.00pm from next Monday.
Minister for Health and Social Security, Eddie Teare, says he hopes the reduced hours have had as little impact as possible on patient care, and is thanking the public for their patience and understanding in this matter.
The unit has had to close at 8pm since the middle of October due to what was referred to as an 'unusual set of circumstances' regarding staffing shortages.
