'Community project' has been ongoing since 2017
The man who spearheaded the campaign to restore Ramsey's Queen's Pier says he believes most people in the town are now firmly behind the restoration effort.
Captain Stuart McKenzie has devoted much of his life to the project since 2017 and, after having to stand down as project manager on health grounds, is now Charity Secretary of the Queen's Pier Restoration Trust.
The pier was built in 1886 at a cost of just £40,000 - a figure which would be close to £4.3 million today.
However the cost of restoring it to its former glory will probably be considerably higher:
