A Ramsey man has pleaded guilty to making nuisance 999 phone calls while intoxicated.
Jason Liam Christian of Bircham Avenue Close admitted two charges of making calls that would cause annoyance, inconvenience or anxiety to the Emergency Services Joint Control Room in April this year.
The court heard the 30-year-old called the emergency services on 26 April, telling the operator he had a chainsaw and was going to cut people's heads off, before admitting that was a lie.
Three days later, he made another call where he told the operator the patient wasn't breathing, before saying he was 'only joking'.
When he was arrested, he told police he had been drinking since 24 April and couldn't remember making the calls, but accepted he must have done.
High Bailiff Jayne Hughes ordered a full probation report ahead of sentencing, telling Christian she was considering all sentencing options, including a custodial sentence.
He was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on 20 June.
