Public invited to join welcome celebrations
The public is invited to officially welcome Ramsey's new £2.2 million pound lifeboat tomorrow (2 July).
After a naming ceremony the Ann and James Ritchie 2 will be launched at around midday for a short display.
Subject to the weather, and no call outs, people will then be able to go onboard with a 'lifeboat afternoon' continuing until 5pm.
Thirty volunteers support the lifeboat in the town.
Operations Manager Kevin Christian says the new boat, which arrived earlier this year, is much more advanced:
