Site closed to traffic
A dilapidated building and former shop in the centre of Ramsey is set for demolition.
A section of Parliament Street has been closed while the site is made safe.
It's after masonry came lose on the front of the building threatening public safety.
Commissioners say an investigation by structural engineers have been completed, and the property owner has applied to demolish it.
An Emergency Demolition Directive is being prepared by the building control section of DEFA.
The road will remain closed with traffic diversions until further notice.
