Port Erin rates are to go up by 1.8 per cent.
At a meeting of the commissioners last night (Tuesday), it was decided to set the rate at £2.78 in the pound - a 5p increase on last year.
Meanwhile, Rushen Parish Commissioners have announced that through ‘good housekeeping’ they have been able to keep their rates at 67p in the pound, along with a £15 ‘per household’ charge for refuse disposal.
