
Getting the Gansey EMI unit re-open as soon as possible remains a priority.
That vow from Rushen member Juan Watterson – one of the MHKs helping the families of eight patients who were transferred to Thie Menagh, the elderly mentally infirm facility in Farmhill in Douglas earlier this week.
Social care bosses have assured relatives the Gansey unit will re-open as soon as more staff are recruited.
Mr Watterson says he is in continual dialogue with the minister responsible.
