Number of young people off with mental health issues is 'upsetting'
The treasury minister says the number of young people in the Isle of Man on long-term sickness with mental health issues is really upsetting.
Dr Alex Allinson says they're becoming more common than physical problems like a bad back or an injury.
He says he's now trying to find ways to support them back into the work place.
The minister told Manx Radio he doesn't believe anyone chooses to be on benefits for an extended period of time:
