
Treasury Minister Allan Bell says he’s very pleased with the latest unemployment statistics.
Data collected by the government shows the number of people out of work fell to just 532 in March, 64 people fewer than in February.
Mr Bell (pictured) says there are now record numbers of people in work on the Island, and at 1.3 per cent, it’s the lowest March rate for four years.
But he says it’s no time to be complacent as the Island’s economic growth rate looks set to slow in the near future (audio file attached):
