Gales and storm-force winds forecast
A red weather warning has been issued by the Isle of Man Met Office, which is in place until Saturday night.
The advice from the emergency services is to avoid making any non-essential journeys on Friday night and during the day on Saturday.
Neil Young from the Met Office has given Manx Radio this detailed forecast, and says the wind will be the big problem:
