It's looking more likely jobs can be saved at the Isle of Man College refectory.
The facility made a loss of £182,000 last year and 17 workers were told their jobs may be cut unless substantial savings could be found.
They were asked to come up with ideas to try and bring the facility out of the red, and now the staff, management and their union, Unite, have presented their proposals to Education Minister Eddie Teare.
He is thanking them for their input and says he is confident there is a way forward.
Unite's regional industrial officer Steve Salter says he is encouraged by Mr Teare's words:
