Businesses will allow customers to fill up water bottles
The Environment Minister says the newly-launched 'Refill Isle of Man' scheme will be beneficial to both businesses and the public.
Supported by UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man, the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is to be the licensed Isle of Man operator for the programme, which encourages participating outlets to allow customers to fill up water bottles for free.
It's an initiative started by UK company City to Sea, in efforts to reduce the amount of single-use plastic entering the environment.
During the launch at the Manx Wildlife Trust in Peel today (Mon 14), Geoffrey Boot said the move is a 'no-brainer':
