MHK also wants answers about advice from government media team
Regional swimming pools will be back under the spotlight in the House of Keys today (30 January).
The two MHKs for Arbory, Castletown and Malew have tabled priority - or ‘starred’ – questions following the uncertainty over the future of the Southern Swimming Pool.
Tim Glover will ask the education, sport and culture minister about financial support provided to each of the three regional pools.
His colleague Jason Moorhouse will quiz the chief minister about what advice he received from the corporate communications team about news releases issued by Julie Edge’s department.
He also wants to know what has been learned from the first communications which went out about the relationships and sex education curriculum and funding for the Southern Swimming Pool.
Garff MHK Daphne Caine has the final priority question tabled – she’ll ask the environment, food and agriculture minister about issues being experienced at the meat plant and any losses as a result.
Eleven other questions will follow.
The infrastructure minister will be quizzed on a report about fixed term tenancies and whether highways in and around new housing estates are being built to an ‘adoptable standard’.
Tim Crookall will also be asked when the DoI will publish a review of the Steam Packet Company’s performance under the Sea Services Agreement.
And Cabinet Office Minister Kate Lord-Brennan will have to answer questions on gas disconnections, measles and ‘Daniel’s Law’.
The House of Keys will sit at 10am.
