
The Department of Education and Children is reminding parents they have to register their children for school.
Anyone whose child turned five after September 1 this year needs to contact their local school, to help it plan next year’s staffing and resources.
Every school on the Island has a catchment area – if you’re not sure which area you’re in you can contact the department on 685820.
John Gill, Head of Legal and Administrative Services at the DEC, says children registered now will start their first academic year on Wednesday, September 4 next year.
