Health bosses give evidence to Tynwald committee
Health bosses insist the relationship between Manx Care and the Department of Health and Social Care is 'not broken'.
The Public Accounts Committee took evidence this week from Manx Care's Chief Executive Teresa Cope, Finance Director Jackie Lawless and Improvement Directors Shaun Stacey and Pete Shanahan; alongside DHSC Minister Claire Christian, Chief Officer Paul Richardson and Executive Director of Policy and Strategy Sam McCauley.
The health minister told the committee better communication is needed between the two bodies in the future.
She was asked whether the relationship between her department and Manx Care is operating 'as designed', and how it could change going forward:
Meanwhile, the Department's Chief Officer, Paul Richardson, said both bodies are 'working to the same end'.
