35-year-old allegedly had £100,000 worth of drug
A man from the United Kingdom has been remanded at the Isle of Man Prison after being accused of trying to bring cannabis to Manx shores.
Richard Cain appeared at Douglas Courthouse today (9 January) after being arrested at the Isle of Man Airport yesterday.
The 35-year-old has been charged with producing five kilograms of the Class B substance at Ronaldsway.
The drug - which was contained in a suitcase which had been in an aircraft’s hold - allegedly had a street value of £100,000.
There was no application for bail and Mr Cain was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on 23 January.
