Douglas council leader not happy with decision
The leader of Douglas Council says the circumstances surrounding the removal of one of its members are a 'complete and utter mess'.
John Joughin has been kicked out, after it emerged he was not on the voters' list.
According to the legal advice the council received, that meant he couldn't be on the council.
But there has now been conflicting information from the Attorney General's Chambers, which has been put out by the Department of Infrastructure, which says the legislation can be interpreted in more than one way.
The council is set to discuss the matter further tomorrow.
