Follows questions from political colleagues
The chief minister believes progress is slow, and co-ordination across government departments is 'lacking', when it comes to renewable energy policy.
Alfred Cannan was quizzed by Douglas MHK's Chris Thomas and Claire Christian in the House of Keys who were seeking clarification around the newly formed Energy Policy Board.
Mr Thomas had previously said he was keen to see how the Energy Policy Board will 'play out in the coming months'.
Mr Cannan told members the new group will primarily act as an advisory and consulting board:
Gas supplier provides reassurance amid ongoing global market volatility
Farmers in race against time after freight backlog in Heysham
Further changes to sailing schedule due to tidal restrictions
Census 'still one of the most valuable statistical tools' for government
'Immigration is needed' for economic growth on Island
