With that in mind, the Department of Infrastructure has set up an emergency telephone number and e-mail address for motorists to report potholes caused by the recent bad weather.
Department workers are out over the weekend repairing roads that are deemed to be a safety concern.
Minister Phil Gawne hopes the initiative will improve the speed and efficiency with which it deals with problems.
