The UCM networking event is taking place now
University College Isle of Man's fourth annual Research Festival is currently taking place at its Nunnery campus.
The Chief Minister opened the festival, which will see presentations made by a number of researchers.
They will include UCM students and lecturers, as well as guests from as far afield as the UK, Germany and the United States.
Later, a specific "Research Vannin" website will be launched, and results of a "What is Manxness?" survey will be revealed - which attendees are filling out throughout the day.
The festival is free to attend, and walk-ins are welcome.
