Are government polices helping reduce smoking, alcohol abuse and drug taking among Manx teenagers?
An answer to that question shoud emerge later this year, when the results of an Island-wide survey of 15 and 16 year olds is published.
It's part of a European research project carried out every four years in 30 countries, and the same age group has been surveyed here twice before, in 2003 and 2007.
Principal investigator for the Department of Home Affairs is Dr Andrea Steriu.
She says last time, some clear trends emerged which helped government target problem areas:

Peel bar impacted by bus strikes
Care funding reform report delayed following ministerial change
Charity plans baby loss memorial garden at Noble's Hospital
New rights for neonatal care leave and carer's leave on the way
