Recent checks put levels at 14% above average
After a brief heatwave last week the Island's water stocks are holding up well, with all of the four main supply reservoirs more than 80% full as of 14 July.
Despite advice to use water wisely, demand over the 24 hour period of the most recent levels check was up 14% on the average figure.
Levels in the individual reservoirs showed West Baldwin 90% full, Sulby was 84%, Clypse 81% and Kerrowdhoo 80% - giving an overall average of 85 percent.
Many areas in the UK have been forced to introduce hosepipe bans - the latest being Thames Water.
