Residents in Port St Mary spent last night back in their own beds, after Monday evening's evacuation because of the huge landslide at Happy Valley.
Businesses in the immediate area were reopened yesterday and people living in twelve properties were allowed back home, after engineers made sure they were safe to return to.
Meanwhile, investigations are continuing into why why more than 50 tonnes of earth and stone slid from underneath Bay View Road down towards the beach.
One of the local residents, Michelle Heywood, said at first it was a nervous return:
