Roads closed due to 'minor chemical incident'
Residents are being evacuated after an incident in Castletown.
Police are dealing with hazardous materials at the Station Garage on Victoria Road, following what they are calling a 'minor chemical incident'.
The road remains closed while emergency services attend, but it's understood fire crews have contained the spillage - and investigations are continuing to determine what the substance was.
Anyone in the area is being urged to remain indoors, keeping windows and doors closed as a precaution - but officers have stressed no one is in any danger.
The Constabulary says a further update will be released when it's available.
