Authority says police have been made aware
Douglas Borough Council has issued a warning following reports of phone calls being made 'impersonating' its staff.
The authority says people are being contacted via a UK number which is requesting access to properties for 'maintenance reasons'.
The local authority says the police are aware and urges people to be 'vigilant' if asked to give personal details or information about their houses.
