Department offers help with relocation
The Health and Social Care Minister says help is being offered to residents at an Island care home, which has announced its closure.
Thirty-six elderly tenants at King's Reach in Ramsey were told on Tuesday that the facility will shut its doors on 1 October.
Owners Four Seasons Healthcare have blamed the decision on cost pressures and under capacity.
Kate Beecroft says the DHSC was aware that a closure was on the cards.
In a statement, she says the Department is working to move anyone in need of a new home - and 'while a number of important decisions lie ahead for residents and their families, staff will be on hand to discuss options and offer advice'.
