The chairman has resigned from his role and two members have quit
Two board members from Patrick Commissioners have resigned from the local authority, following a report from the Tynwald Commissioner for Administration.
Richard Jones said during last night's meeting he would resign if Commissioner X wouldn't and John Snelling handed his letter to the clerk with immediate effect.
Mr Jones said: "I wasn’t a commissioner at the time. My opinion is Commissioner X has not been asked. The actions were not in accordance with the board. This is not the only occasion this has happened. I presently can’t carry on as a commissioner if Commissioner X continues to be involved.
"If Commissioner X is still here at the end it’s with regret Mr Chairman that it’s not something I take lightly. If commissioner x is still party to the decision making process. We have no other way. We can’t suspend or sack him unless there’s been criminal activity."
Chairman Geoffrey Gelling has resigned from his role as the chair of the board.
This leaves the local authority with three members, the minimum amount it can have and still be able to operate.
