An additional 40 mph speed limit will be in place on the Castletown bypass during Thursday afternoon's bus strike.
It will be from a point adjacent to the existing 40 mph speed limit sign, to the junction with Arbory Road.
The department of infrastructure says the limit will be for safety reasons while the strike is taking place and the temporary railway platform just off the bypass is in use.
Meanwhile in Douglas bicycles will be prohibited from using the promenade walkway and cycleway between the Sea Terminal car park and the war memorial, to allow vehicles to park there whilst the strike is taking place.
Parking on the promenade will be available from 9.30am to 9pm, or until bus strike is over.
