But DEFA is not 'sitting there doing nothing' says Haywood
Government is looking into the support it can provide farmers on the Isle of Man who are struggling with rising prices.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says it is in discussions with the Manx National Farmers' Union.
The union says production costs are reaching 'proportions that haven't been seen before'.
A meeting was held yesterday but Michelle Haywood, who is a political member for DEFA, says there are restrictions on the help the department can provide:
