One fifth achieved A*-A grades
More than a thousand Manx school pupils collected their GCSE results today with the overall pass rate for Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications once again standing at 98 percent.
That figure relates to those students who achieved IGCSE/ GCSE grades A*-G or the equivalent.
The number of students achieving A*-C grades is down two percent compared to 2024 at 71 percent.
Meanwhile, the pass rate at the highest grades (A*–A ) stands at 20 percent.
The Department of Education, Sport and Culture says early indications suggest that around 90 percent of this year’s cohort will continue their studies in sixth form or further education courses at UCM in September.
The remaining 10 percent, meanwhile, are expected to move directly into employment.
