
Investigations are continuing into the death of a 17 week-old girl from Douglas, earlier this week.
Emily Anna Burgess, of Osborne Grove passed away on Tuesday after being taken to the accident and emergency department at Noble’s Hospital.
Her inquest opened today, when it was revealed results of a post mortem were awaited.
Coroner Michael Moyle adjourned the hearing to allow funeral arrangements to be made and said there was no suggestion of anything suspicious.
He offered his deepest condolences to the girl’s family.
