24-year-old will be sentenced in December
A former retail employee who stole almost £1,000 worth of Apple products from the store he was managing will be sentenced next month.
Rhys Daniel Hurst, of Pickford Crescent in Fife in Scotland, appeared at Douglas Courthouse where he admitted stealing from Currys in Douglas.
Between 15 January and 18 May the 24-year-old sales manager took an iPhone and Apple watch valued at £958.
The prosecutor told the court it was an ‘obvious breach of trust’ case adding: “There was nothing sophisticated about this theft.”
A social enquiry report has been requested before Hurst is sentenced on 14 December; he’s been bailed until that date.
