Captain Stephen Carter has guided around 4,500 vessels in and out of Manx ports
The Isle of Man's chief pilot says there are parts of the job he'll miss as he retires from the role.
Captain Stephen Carter estimates he's brought around 4,500 ships in and out of the Island's ports.
Last week saw Captain Carter bring in Hurtigruten vessel the Maud, marking the final time he guided a cruise ship into Douglas.
He says it can be a challenging job:
