As the start of a new era draws near in Manx politics, the outgoing president of Tynwald says the Isle of Man should always stand proud as a nation.
Noel Cringle will stand down next month, after eleven years as the figurehead of the Island's parliament.
Mr Cringle, who had his first experience of politics as a member of Arbory Commissioners, and was first elected as an MHK in 1974, says the time has come for a change:
Sailings cancelled due to predicted gales
Have your say on the future of the Island's plantations
Warning for 'disorderly' parents attending schools
Yellow weather warning for gale force winds
New board members sought for abattoir
