Measure introduced to help businesses in the area
Traffic will be able to move both ways along Douglas promenade once again this week, thanks to the introduction of a return lane.
Running from the access point used for walkway parking at Christmas, through to the Sea Terminal, cars will be able to return alongside the Sea Wall in a fully coned segregated area.
The lane is being introduced to help businesses in the area with deliveries and allow customers to be dropped off or picked up by car or taxi.
Infrastructure Minister Tim Baker says the move shows the department is listening to the needs of the public:
