Pause as new model for tests sought
There's to be a major shake-up of work capability tests in the Island.
The treasury minister has ordered an external review of the system, after terminating its contract with Dependability Ltd, which has conducted the tests for government until now.
Mr Teare said Treasury is looking at options for a new model - with future assessments carried out in-house, by another arm of government, outsourced - or by a combination of operators.
He's promised the review will be independent and objective - and he told Tynwald there will be a pause while it's carried out:

Overnight sailings cancelled due to adverse weather
Rapist who 'terrorised' his victim told his sentence was 'entirely justified'
Complaints process for health system changed
Discovery of oiled birds 'makes a mockery of our biosphere status'
Charges now in place for those sending parcels to the EU
