Drinkers have 'Christmas mentality' says charity director
There's been a significant increase in the number of people on the Isle of Man seeking help for alcohol related issues after lockdown.
The charity Motiv8, which specialises in addictive behaviours, has reported a huge rise in demand, with a record-breaking 1,600 appointments over the last three months.
Director Thea Ozenturk says for some, stress and anxiety about the pandemic may have led to them turning to alcohol as a way of coping.
She says some are finding it difficult to return to their pre-Covid routines:
