Rise in pensioners' income only tells part of story

Island heading in right direction says Chief Minister

Pensioners’ income is rising at a faster rate than those of working families – but it doesn’t necessarily mean they have a greater income.

So says the Chief Minister after the local position was compared to the situation in the UK.

The Resolution Foundation found pensioner households in the UK to be around £20 a week better off than the average working age household.

Howard Quayle says the Island is heading in the right direction when you assess the full picture.
