Douglas store won't be affected
The High Court in the UK has given its approval to a restructuring plan from troubled clothing chain River Island, which will lead to the closure of 33 stores.
Meanwhile rent reductions are being negotiated for a further 71 outlets.
The company says the move will enable it to align its store estate with its customers' needs.
Owner of the Douglas River Island franchise, Stephen Bradley, confirmed recently that the store is trading well and is not affected by the changes in the UK.
