Douglas Promenade and Ramsey Swing Bridge to glow yellow in support of lifesaving charity
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution has launched its annual 'Mayday' fundraising campaign, marking the start of a month-long appeal for public support.
The campaign takes its name from the international distress call used at sea, with the charity using it as its own call for help during one of the busiest times of year for volunteer crews.
The RNLI says donations are vital to maintain its lifesaving service, covering costs such as training, equipment, fuel and lifeboats.
Douglas Promenade and Ramsey Swing Bridge will be illuminated in yellow to raise awareness and show support for the charity’s work.
