Port St Mary crews called out to assist at Gansey Point
Two paddleboarders were brought safely back to shore by lifeboat crews after becoming stranded on rocks in the south of the Island.
The Port St Mary RNLI received a call last night after the duo got into difficulty at Gansey Point.
A third member of the group was carrying a mobile phone in a waterproof case and was able to raise the alarm.
The lifeboat quickly arrived on the scene and brought the pair back to shore, where they were checked over and given help warming up following the incident.
The RNLI says the incident highlights the need to check wind conditions, wear a floatation device and have a means of communication when taking to the water.
