
Ballagawne Road in Colby is closed to traffic this lunchtime following an accident earlier this morning.
It happened around 11.15am and it's understood involved just one car.
The road was closed at the Ballagawne Road Junction with Croit E Caley, Colby, and Ballagawne Road at its Junction with the Ballakillowey Roundabout. Traffic is being diverted down the Old School Road from Ballakillowey Roundabout and the Croit E Caley Road, Colby.
Emergency services have been in attendance and fire crews helped remove the driver from the vehicle.
It's thought an off-duty paramedic was the first on the scene and was able to offer assistance, though the driver's current condition isn't known.
The road is expected to open again early this afternoon.
Buses are currently unable to serve Ballabeg and Colby due to the closure and the are being diverted from Castletown to Port Erin via Shore Road and Gansey until further notice.
