
The Director of Highways is reassuring motorists that disruption caused by this weekend's closure of Braddan Bridge will be kept to a minimum.
Bruce Hannay says it would be too dangerous to allow traffic through while essential resurfacing work is being undertaken.
Braddan Bridge will be closed from 9.30am tomorrow , and it's hoped it will reopen by first thing on Monday, although that is subject to the weather over the weekend.
Mr Hannay (pictured) accepts some people will be frustrated, but says clear diversions will be in place (audio file attached):
