Manx Radio understands the air ambulance is in the area too
Police have confirmed a road closure is in place from Tynwald Hill in St John's, through to QEII High School in Peel.
Officers are currently dealing with a road traffic collision.
It's believed the closure will be in place for some time.
Access to Peel can be gained via the Poortown Road.
