Road closures in St John's for Tynwald Day rehearsal

Ceremony to take place on Monday 7 July

There will be road closures in St John's today (6 July) as a rehearsal takes place for tomorrow's Tynwald Day ceremony.

Station Road will shut from Patrick Road to Peel Road between 9:30am and 11am.

The main road through St John's will also close from the Arboretum Car Park to Station Road from 9:30am, and will reopen at 2:30pm.

The national ceremony gets underway tomorrow (7 July) with five acts for promulgation.

Tynwald Day is usually held on 5 July but when the 5th falls on a weekend, the ceremony is moved to the following Monday.
