The Department of Transport is surveying the state of roads in the Isle of Man.
A large lorry with specialist equipment has been moving slowly around many major routes, carrying out in-depth inspections of the structure of the roads.
Transport Minister David Anderson says the surveys, which take place every four to five years, are a good indicator for his department of where best to spend its budget:
