Police are warning motorists they must drive responsibly after routes which stayed open overnight iced up – and officers are repeating advice to avoid travelling unless absolutely necessary.
Roads which are still closed to traffic today are: the Mountain Road, Brandywell, Druidale, Injebreck, Ballig Bridge, Old Laxey Hill, Sloc Road, and in Douglas - Crellins Hill, St George’s Street and Albert Street.
The Department of Transport has been gritting roads, and some may reopen later.
The Island’s police force also say it’s illegal to drive on closed roads, and anyone doing so can put themselves, the emergency services and road workers at risk – as well as risking thousands of pounds in fines.
