Transport Minister David Anderson says it’s important to do road works at this time of year while the motorsports season is over for another year.
He says a number of major projects will be carried out over the winter now that the Manx Grand Prix has finished.
Among the planned works are improvements to Braddan Bridge which are now underway.

Just over half the vehicles examined were defective
